Privacy Policy
Last updated August 21, 2026
This policy explains what happens to your information when you use copelandroad.com. It is written to be read, not to be survived, so it is shorter than most — the honest reason it can be short is that this site collects very little.
The short version
This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics, serves no advertising, and embeds nothing from anyone else. Nobody is tracking you here, and there is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
The one place you can give me information is the contact form. If you use it, what you write is emailed to me so I can reply. It is not added to a database, a mailing list, or a profile, and it is never sold or shared for anyone else’s marketing.
Who is responsible for your information
Copeland Road Health Ventures, a healthcare strategy advisory practice based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is the controller of the information described here. Stacy Mays is the point of contact and, in practice, the only person who reads what the contact form sends.
You can reach me at stacy.mays@copelandroad.com or 414-975-4238 about anything in this policy — including a request to see, correct, or delete what I hold.
What I collect, and only when you offer it
The contact form asks for four things: your name, your email address, your phone number if you choose to give one, and your message. The phone number is optional; the rest is what I need in order to reply usefully.
There is one hidden field in the form that you will never see or fill in. Automated spam scripts fill it in, and anything that does is discarded without being read or delivered. It exists so that the form does not need a puzzle, a tracker, or a third-party bot check to stay usable.
That is the entire list. This site has no accounts, no login, no newsletter signup, no comments, no downloads that ask who you are, and no payment of any kind.
What this site deliberately does not do
It is worth being specific, because most policies claim the opposite in dense language. On this website there is:
- No advertising, no ad network, no remarketing, and no advertising partners — the legacy version of this page described all of these, and none of it was ever true of this site.
- No analytics of any kind: no Google Analytics, no tag manager, no heatmaps, no session recording, no page-view counter.
- No cookies and no browser storage. Nothing this site sends is kept on your device between visits.
- No tracking pixels, no social media buttons, no embedded video, no chat widget, and no external fonts — the typefaces are served from this site itself, so loading a page does not tell anyone else that you did.
- No sale of personal information, no sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, and no automated decision-making or profiling.
If any of that ever changes, this page changes first.
What the servers record automatically
This site is hosted by Vercel, and like any web host its servers keep routine technical logs of requests: an IP address, the page requested, a timestamp, and the browser’s user-agent string. This happens for every website you visit and is what makes it possible to keep a site online, diagnose an error, and absorb an attack.
I do not use these logs to identify or track individual visitors, they are not combined with anything from the contact form, and they are held under Vercel’s own retention schedule rather than mine.
Who else handles your information
Two service providers are involved, both United States companies, and neither is permitted to use your information for its own purposes:
- Vercel, which hosts this website and produces the server logs described above.
- Mailgun, which delivers your contact-form message to my inbox. Your message passes through Mailgun the way any email passes through a mail provider.
Beyond those two, I disclose information only if I am legally required to — for example, in response to a valid legal process.
Please do not send patient information
This is an advisory practice serving founders, executives, investors, and boards, and the work is strategic rather than clinical. This website is not a secure clinical channel and is not covered by a HIPAA business associate agreement.
Please do not send protected health information, patient records, or personally identifiable clinical data through the contact form or by ordinary email. If a conversation needs to touch material of that kind, write or call and we will agree on an appropriate channel and the paperwork that belongs with it first.
The same caution applies to confidential business material. An opening inquiry does not need your deal terms — a sentence about the shape of the problem is enough to start.
How long I keep it
Contact-form messages live in my email as ordinary business correspondence. I keep an inquiry while I am replying to it, and afterwards for as long as the relationship it began remains relevant — an advisory conversation can resume years after it starts, which is the honest reason there is no fixed deletion date here.
I would rather say that plainly than publish a retention period I do not actually enforce. If you would like your message deleted, ask and I will delete it.
Your choices
Whether or not a particular privacy law applies to a practice this size, you can ask me to do any of the following, and I will:
- Tell you what information I hold about you.
- Send you a copy of it.
- Correct anything that is wrong or incomplete.
- Delete it.
- Stop contacting you.
Email stacy.mays@copelandroad.com and I will respond within 30 days, at no charge. I may need to confirm you are the person the information belongs to before I act, which is a protection for you rather than an obstacle.
There is no “Do Not Sell My Personal Information” link on this site for the simple reason that there is nothing to opt out of: your information is not sold or shared for advertising, and never has been.
Children
This site is intended for business professionals and is not directed to children. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent something through the contact form, write to me and I will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new date at the top. The date above is the current one. Material changes will be described rather than quietly folded in, so that a returning reader can tell what moved.
